EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The international school sector in Malaysia has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years, thanks in part to the government’s encouraging initiatives to boost enrolment as well as the growing popularity of international schools among middle income families. What used to be an exclusive right of expatriates community has now evolved to become one of the preferred schools for Malaysian families.
The removal of 40% quota on local Malaysian students has unmistakably led to rapid increase in the number of international schools in the country. Growing middle income families has also contributed to the establishment of “affordable” international schools. These form a major share of international schools in the country, as those that are priced relatively higher are naturally favored by the expatriates.
Despite its growing numbers, enrolment has largely remained stagnant. Growth is also largely concentrated in the Klang Valley. The report aims to assist potential industry players to better understand the international school landscape in Malaysia by identifying gaps and emerging trends in the sector.
There are two versions of the report – Mini Report & Full Report, each priced differently. As the name suggests, the mini report contains only selective sections of the full report.
The report will be emailed once proof of purchase is received.
